Cookie Policy

What are cookies?
Cookies are small pieces of information stored by your browser when you visit a website. Similar technologies, including local storage, can remember settings on your device. Some information lasts only for a browsing session; other information remains until it expires or you delete it.
How FABSA uses browser storage
| Purpose | When it applies | What it supports |
|---|---|---|
| Account and security | When you sign in or use member features | Maintaining your signed-in session and supporting authentication and security checks. |
| Registration and payment features | When you use registration or checkout | Maintaining the session and information needed to complete those features. Payment providers may use their own cookies when their services are used. |
| Preferences and forms | When you choose to remember details or use forms | Remembering relevant choices, such as comment details if you select the browser-saving option, and supporting form functionality. |
| Cookie notice preference | When you select “Got it” | The local-storage entry fabsa_cookie_notice_v1 records that the notice was dismissed and when. We use it to avoid showing the notice again for 12 months in that browser, unless storage is cleared or the notice is updated. |
The cookies present depend on the features you use and whether you are signed in. Session cookies normally end with the session; persistent cookies have their own expiry dates. You can inspect cookies and storage in your browser’s site settings.
Third-party websites and services
FABSA links to social networks, FIFA safeguarding resources and other external websites. Following a link takes you to a separate service with its own cookie and privacy practices. A link alone does not give FABSA control over cookies on that external website.
Where a third-party feature is used on FABSA, such as a payment service, embedded content or spam protection, that provider may process technical information and use its own browser storage. Check the provider’s notice when using the feature. If optional analytics or advertising tools are introduced, this policy and any necessary visitor choices will be updated.
Google reCAPTCHA spam protection
FABSA uses Google reCAPTCHA v3 to help protect forms from automated abuse. It assesses technical information and interactions with the website to identify suspicious submissions and may use cookies or similar technologies. The Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply. The reCAPTCHA badge or notice identifies this protection on forms.
Managing cookies and local storage
You can view, block or delete cookies and site storage using your browser’s privacy or site-data settings. Blocking storage needed for account or checkout sessions may prevent those features from working. Controls generally apply separately to each browser and device.
The “Got it” button dismisses our information notice. It does not subscribe you to newsletters or register you as a member, and it is not an opt-in to advertising.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when website features or storage practices change. The date above identifies the latest version.
