Packed 2027 season proposed for futsal and beach soccer

Young players in Barbados will have the chance to try futsal through school clinics early in 2027 and put their skills to the test in a youth tournament later in the school year. Both events feature in the proposed calendar from the Futsal & Beach Soccer Association of Barbados (FABSA), alongside a community futsal league and a summer of beach soccer.

FABSA plans to open the year with training for futsal referees and coaches in late January. School outreach clinics will follow in February and March, culminating in a one-day festival over the Easter weekend. The Youth Futsal Tournament is scheduled to run from April to mid-May.

Community teams will take the court in June and July for the Community Futsal League. On the sand, FABSA plans to stage one beach soccer festival each month from May through July, ahead of the Summer Beach Soccer Cup in August and September.

The National Futsal Cup will bring teams back to the court in October, with play scheduled to continue into early November. The season is set to close on the sand in December with the Beach Football Classic.
