FABSA gets BFA nod on affiliation

The Futsal & Beach Soccer Association of Barbados (FABSA) has received official recognition from the Barbados Football Association (BFA) as the body responsible for developing futsal and beach soccer in Barbados.

The affiliation marks a significant step towards building a structured programme for both sports, creating more opportunities for players, coaches, referees and communities to get involved.

FABSA President Edwyn Wood welcomed the recognition and the opportunity to work alongside the BFA to grow participation. The association’s priorities include organised competitions, development workshops and stronger links with schools and community groups.

With preparations under way for upcoming beach soccer competition and a full calendar of activities planned for 2027, FABSA aims to turn this milestone into meaningful progress on the court and on the sand.
